About us

We're a magazine for book lovers! Each month, we review the best new books for all ages, across all categories and genres. Our publication is distributed in libraries, bookstores and the Books-A-Million chain.

What's your vision?

We are looking for a designer to help with our November cover. It will be a theme cover, using the artwork from the book that we are featuring (see uploads for examples of three other covers that use book art in this way). We have linked to the art from the book covers and would like to see two options for covers, one featuring each book. I am attaching a link to a brief with more specifics below, as well as our brand guidelines.

Symphony Rock Stars
client is looking for a magazine cover for the 2015-2016 concert season that is a different approach from the typical image for a symphony. The title of the season is rock stars and they want to portray a more edgy pop art feel. I used bright colors blue and red contrasted with high contrast high noise composite photo of the symphony director and musicians. The font is a modern grunge feel and red lines and star help to connect the text throughout the cover
