Design an invite for a biotech company

Our company manufactures drugs for a rare disease, pulmonary arterial hypertension, and also does development into eventually creating more organs for transplantation. This logo would be for a team within the overall organization, whose job is to meet with various physicians, hospitals, and educational institutions and bring them together.

An invitation template that we can use for a cocktail reception at a conference. Would like it to be smaller than an 8 1/2 x 11, more like a 4 x 6 or 5 x 7 size. Usually, when I do it myself it ends up being a plain blank invite with our logo on it, but I'd like it to jazzed up and look more interesting and professional.

While I would like it to be more colorful and creative, it probably makes sense for it to incorporate our company logo and brand colors to a degree.
