We create smartphone applications.

We are designing an app for smartphone which should among others things enable users to interact with one another and give feedbacks on places they go to. Places are to be bars/ clubs and user should be able to rate them and convey the mood of the place through a set of emoticons (9 of them). The contest is to design these 9 emoticons/stickers. In terms of style we want to see something friendly and cool to which users can easily connect with. As the app is to rate night venues the emoticons must capture the atmosphere/ situations of the nightlife universe. While we clearly don t want something formal (like corporate presentation icons) we don t necessarily want something cartoonish, very stylish icons are a possibility for instance (using comics or manga style or even suggesting movie posters or book/CD covers etc), using a friendly character across the icons is possible but not compulsory. Designers don t have to draft the 9 icons in the first round, a set of 3 icons (to be chosen among the 7 in the list below) is enough for us to see the overall style and give feedback/directions and eventually shortlist. Feel free to ask us if any question. 9 themes (only 7 here, the 2 remaining are still being discussed but will be given for the 2 round). - Music Magic: when the music is good; - Party Frenzy: when it's a big night, really fun, a party to remember; - Warming Up: when it's the beginning of the night out; - Bimboland: when there are a lot of pretty girls; - Boys boys boys: when there are a lot of handsome guys; - VIP: when it's hype/select - Socializing: when it's just a drink, having a good time, talking with friends, colleagues, people around;
