T-Shirt design for alternative rock band

Cue No Ego is an Alternative Rock band based in Orlando, Florida. Our target audience is a music community of all ages that bridges the gap between music, spirituality, technology, and entrepreneurship. Some of our musical influences are The Beatles, Jason Mraz, Coldplay, Muse, Queen and Imagine Dragons. My previous band Paradise Fears released an album that hit #2 on iTunes with about 24 million streams on Spotify, and we'd love to make a similar positive impact with this new project.

We're looking for a graphic for a new song that we can use on t-shirts, posters, sweatshirts, and other band merchandise. We’d like the design to match the style of some of the references we provided - ethereal, cosmic, spiritual, psychedelic, realism. When you first become aware of "ego" (the sense of being separate from everything else), you realize that your self-concept is an illusion, and it can feel disorienting because you aren't sure how to identify yourself anymore. It can feel like you need to "kill your ego" so you can reconnect with your higher self (the experience of being one with everything). When that happens, it's actually the ego that is fighting itself, which just perpetuates it. "Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that." - Martin Luther King So in summary, the song is about the process of becoming aware of the voice in the head, going to war with it, then realizing that it's a paradox because the war can never be won by the mind fighting itself. Artwork Design ideas: - A person with their head exploding into a symphony of color & symbols that represent 2 sides - the "soul" (colorful, love, roots, peace, higher self) vs. the "mind" (dark, war, greed, selfishness, pain). - A brain with two sides - one of them represents the soul (colorful, nature, roots, peace, higher self), and one of them represents the mind (war, greed, selfishness, pain). It would be awesome to use any lyrical symbols / elements from the song too! (Eagle / Rhinoceros, etc.) - A mask coming off someone's face (the mask representing their ego) and revealing their true self underneath. - A mind-bending piece of art (like the Muse reference below where the hand is controlling the joystick controller). Someone is in a prison created by their mind. They think they're the one making the decisions, but really they are being controlled by their mind/ego. This could show someone being controlled by puppeteer strings, for example. Feel free to be as creative as you'd like if you feel inspired by the song / concept! I'll attach a bunch of references to share some examples of these ideas + the style / vibe that we're going for. Thank you 🙏
