Therapist-built app to defeat porn addiction - design needed

My app is for Christians who are trying to quit porn. The first version will include: -A sobriety counter -Daily encouraging quotes/verses -Personally identified reasons for change -A button for when the user is feeling triggered, which will offer support for defeating temptation Later versions will include more features.

When people use the app, I want them to feel relaxed, not stressed, since fighting an addiction can be overwhelming. So, I want the design to support this goal. I'm open to design ideas, but I don't want the app to feel cluttered or confusing. I have no specific guidance on colors, illustration, or photography. I'm willing to leave these decisions to the designer.
